Welcome to the Freechild Blog!

Welcome! This is the new home of The Freechild Project blog. Its a place where the various people associated with Freechild – including staff, volunteers, our Advisory Board, and others – will sound out and share their experiences, ideas, and reflections on social change led by and with young people around the world. We’re going to use this blog to encourage youth and adult allies to share their stories, as well.

Freechild, as a program of CommonAction, is concerned with connecting young people and social change around the world. First created in 2001, Freechild has grown into an international network of individuals and organizations that are working towards systemic, holistic, and intentional youth engagement in a diaspora of activities that address a plethora of issues. By highlighting this wide world of action we hope to excite, invite, and engage a wide range of young people in the communities they live in. This will do nothing less than propel democracy forward into the future.

Stay with us and read about our wonderful adventures in action. Thanks!
