Building the Universe

American poet Mary Oliver once implored, “Let us hope it will always be like this, each of us going on in our inexplicable ways building the universe.”

This universe we live in, the world we occupy, and these lives we live are build and rebuilt everyday, constructed out of stardust, mud, blood, toil and joy by all the hands that build. That’s everyone of us, the most engaged and the least active, all in equal measure.

Whether you see it, acknowledge it, love it, or live it, you are building right now. Oliver hoped for an inevitability, so her dream’s fulfillment is at once permanently unfulfilled yet assured. Congrats for finding the sweet affliction of rightness Mary!

Now, back to building…
