Adam Fletcher, Owner and Lead Consultant
Adam is the founder of CommonAction; author of 50+ publications including The Guide to Student Voice and The Practice of Youth Engagement; and a renowned expert motivational speaker. He is an international advocate for youth and community engagement whose career working with young people and adults as a youth worker, educator, writer, and public speaker started when he was 14-years-old. Since then Adam has created more than 50 youth projects in the United States and Canada, including the award-winning Freechild Project, focused on re-envisioning the roles of young people throughout society; and SoundOut, promoting student voice in schools. Since launching CommonAction, Adam has worked with in 300 communities with 500 organizations, supporting 10,000 children, youth, and adults annually. Mike has over 20 years of experience managing youth and adult leadership programs. Mike is passionate about partnering with young people to create positive social change. His experience includes managing JustServe AmeriCorps, a youth anti-violence program, TEEN LINK, a hotline for youth answered by youth, and serving on the Board of Directors for COLAGE (Children of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere), a national organization advocating for the rights of GLBT families.
